Start Gate

Snowboardcross is a race in which snowboard athletes start in a so-called start gate. As soon as the door opens the athletes jump out and who ever gets to the finish first wins. The start is actually the most important part of the race.

The Dutch national snowboardcross team desired a system to practice their start and measure there timing.

The Snowfox is a mobile startgate that is foldable and fits in a snowboard bag. Its light weight and compactness makes it possible for one person to take it up the piste – even on a ski pulley.

An integrated system makes it possible to trigger the gate wireless and it sends the time results to the coach’s laptop for data analysis.
